Here are a few examples of my recent work with Optimal EFT.
Self treatment on guilt
I recently treated a situation where I felt very guilty. It was when my mother was unconscious in the hospital having suffered a massive stroke. She died a week after being admitted. As she was in a public ward I felt very self conscious about talking to her or holding her. I’ve felt guilty about that ever since. Before I did Optimal EFT, my feeling of guilt was about a 9, but once I invited The Unseen Therapist in a thought came into my mind that my mum and I were communicating at a subtle level. We always were very close and I didn’t need to speak. Also another thought came that it would have been difficult for her if I had talked to her as she couldn’t respond. I don’t know how true those thoughts were but my guilt left and I now just feel love for her without feeling guilty.
Treatment for a friend
A couple of days ago I spent the day with a friend who is also a therapist and we used these opportunities to practise our therapies. I asked her to come up with a difficult memory and a physical problem. She had an image of her father being very angry with her - score 9 and a pain in her shoulder an 8. I did Optimal EFT and the image of her father changed to one of him whistling, being happy and not angry with her. This image has remained with her and she is feeling much happier about her father, who she now calls “Dad” for the first time since she was very young. Her shoulder pain moved to her arm so I did Optimal EFT again and it moved to her wrist and hand. A third time removed it altogether and she has stayed pain free.
General comments - Optimal tends to provide a healthy reframe
It’s interesting that with me, EFT tapping usually removes emotion from a memory but Optimal EFT also tends to give me a re-frame, enabling me to view the situation from a higher level.
I’m finding that the effects of doing Optimal EFT, along with working my way though ACIM, are giving me much more feelings of love are spreading into other situations. For instance, I’ve just heard on the news that’s there have been two huge explosions in Brussels - one at the airport and one at the metro station with at least 26 people killed so far. I’m not feeling angry at the terrorists - just sad, with the thought that at least I can send Optimal EFT to everyone involved.
