Diane von der Weid's reflections on an Optimal EFT intensive workshop: ACIM and the importance of practice

Hi Everyone,

Diane and her husband, Alain, were two of the 13 attendees at a 5 day Optimal EFT intensive workshop in my home in The Sea Ranch, California. She wrote me this delightful (and insightful) letter about their experience and emphasizes the importance of practicing.  She says, "More impressive than the results, is the shift in consciousness /cognitive shift that has occurred for both of us. Now we don’t only understand what ‘loving oneself’ means, but we acquired the deep understanding of the necessity of practicing – therefore we practice in every possible circumstance."

e-hugs, Gary

Dear Gary,

I’m writing to you tonight because both Alain and I want to thank you for leading us with so much love and patience to A Course In Miracles. We were eager to start reading it again after leaving Sea Ranch, and so we did immediately upon our return home. And guess what… It’s like reading an entirely new book from the ACIM we read 7 years ago!! It is hard to believe how much our comprehension has changed. Really.

I believe that reading your suggested book, “A Journey Without Distance,” played an important part in opening our minds to it again.

Now ACIM is in our life for good and we will keep reading a chapter or so every day, because we need it, like a thirst.

Besides from reading ACIM, we have also been doing a few hours of Optimal EFT every day – amazed at how quickly we go deeply into things; ‘worked’ on many different subjects from physical issues to emotional ones, always with delightful results. So far lasting.

More impressive than the results, is the shift in consciousness /cognitive shift that has occurred for both of us. Now we don’t only understand what ‘loving oneself’ means, but we acquired the deep understanding of the necessity of practicing – therefore we practice in every possible circumstance. No more letting thoughts running, only reframing on feeling love and peace and joy inside especially when people or circumstances are not as we would like them to be.

We’re beginning to integrate more and more the illusion that are all our thoughts. Ok, now here are the limitations of the words, not sure I can convey this properly to you, but I’m sure you understand anyway. Just before, Alain opened randomly ACIM and the page was lesson 45 “God is the Spirit with whom I think” (not sure how it translates in English) … How’s that for an explanation??!?

With a great big hug and much love and gratitude also from Alain,

Diane
